Shouyue Hero Identity

Role: Assassin / Farm Lane (Bot) | Strength: A (Viable) | Difficulty: Medium | Win Rate: 50.4%

Core Passive: Accuracy
When out of combat, gains marks that increase his Physical Pierce and Basic Attack damage. Hitting enemy heroes with Basic Attacks or skills will consume marks. When his Attack Speed reaches certain thresholds, he gains marks faster.

Signature Ultimate: Getaway
Leaps backward and fires in the target direction, dealing damage and slowing the target hit while gaining increased Movement Speed. Bullets stocked are shared with Skill 2.
Passive: Increases Basic Attack range.

TL;DR Shouyue: Adapt to the game state. Watch the minimap. Communication wins games.

Shouyue Skills & Leveling

Skill 1: The Tranquil Eye
Places a device that grants vision.
Passive: When out of combat and near natural terrain or a scouting device, he disguises himself, gaining Movement Speed and Attack Speed.

Skill 2: Wild Wind
Snipes in the target direction, damaging and slowing targets. This skill will be enhanced when his Attack Speed reaches certain thresholds.

Ultimate: Getaway
Leaps backward and fires in the target direction, dealing damage and slowing the target hit while gaining increased Movement Speed. Bullets stocked are shared with Skill 2.
Passive: Increases Basic Attack range.

Skill Priority: Skill 2 → Skill 1 → Getaway (max Skill 2 first)
Wild Wind provides mobility or stick—max first. The Tranquil Eye second for damage. Getaway on every level.

Practical Tips:
• Wait for enemy CC to be used before going in. Never be the first one to engage unless you're 100% sure of the pick.
• Blow your combo, then get out. Don't stand around auto-attacking waiting for cooldowns — that's how assassins die.
• Late game, your only target is the enemy carry. Trading 1-for-1 with their marksman or mage is almost always worth it.

Shouyue Build & Itemization

Current recommended build for Shouyue:

Slot 1: Overlord's Might (PATK +150, CDR +5%
High-damage attack)

Slot 2: Daybreaker's Virtue (PATK +75, ASPD +30%, Crit Rate +15%
Great for marksmen)

Slot 3: Eternity Blade (PATK +120, Crit Rate +20%
High crit damage)

Slot 4: Bloodweeper (PATK +85, Lifesteal +25%, HP +500
Physical Lifesteal)

Slot 5: Sage's Sanctuary (HP +900, PDEF +150, MDEF +150
Resurrect on the spot)

Slot 6: Haste - Sunpool (PATK +40, ASPD +20%, Crit Rate +15%, MSPD +7.5%
Boosts attack range)

Build Logic:
• First two items are your core damage spike. Don't change the order — build the most gold-efficient item first.
• Third item onward is situational: defensive item vs fed assassins, penetration vs tanky comps.
• Never skip a defensive item for a 6th damage item. Dead carries deal zero DPS.

Shouyue Arcana & Summoner Spells

Recommended Arcana: Lvl 5: Mutation, Lvl 5: Hunt, Lvl 5: Eagle Eye

Summoner Spell: Flash

Flash is the safest choice. If the enemy has heavy CC chains (point-click stuns, suppression), Purify saves more lives than Flash.

Shouyue Combos

Standard Combos:
Standard trade (Farm Lane skirmish or objective fight)
The Tranquil Eye → Wild Wind → Getaway → weave basic attacks

All-in (Gank or backline dive with team CC)
Getaway after full rotation when Flash is down

Farm Lane (Bot) Laning

Lane Fundamentals:
• Clash lane is a 1v1 island. The golden rule: survive first, pressure second. Not dying is way more valuable than getting a solo kill.
• Always track the enemy jungler on the minimap. When they're botside, you can play up. When they're MIA, play near your tower.
• Wave management: ahead → slow push into enemy tower then roam. Behind → freeze near your tower and farm safely.

Level 4 Powerspike:
• Most clash laners get a massive power spike at level 4 with their ultimate. This is your first real opportunity to trade aggressively or look for a solo kill.
• If you have TP, watch bot lane for opportunities. A well-timed TP can turn a losing 2v2 into a winning 3v2.

Mid-Game Side Laning:
• After taking T1 tower, your job splits between pushing side waves and joining fights. Push wave → check minimap → decide.
• While split pushing, if you can't see 3+ enemies on the map, they're probably coming for you. Retreat.
• Teamfights generally take priority over split pushing, but if you group without pushing your wave first and lose the fight, you lose towers too.

Teamfight Strategy & Positioning

Engage Timing:
• The #1 assassin mistake: engaging first. Always wait for the enemy team to use their CC, then go in.
• Approach from the flank or behind. Walking straight at the enemy team as an assassin is a death sentence.
• Your target: the enemy marksman or mage. Trading 1-for-1 with their hypercarry is a win.

When to Back Off:
• Blow your combo → get out. Don't linger in the middle of the fight auto-attacking.
• Never start a fight without your ultimate. An assassin without their ult is a melee minion.
• If you engage and your team doesn't follow, disengage immediately. One death is better than an ace.

Shouyue Matchups

Shouyue struggles against: Liu Bang
When facing these champions:
• Play passive in lane. Surviving > trading.
• Call your jungler for help — don't try to 1v1 a counter matchup.
• Adjust build toward defense. Staying alive is more valuable than an extra damage item.

Shouyue counters: Diaochan, Nakoruru, Ying
Against these champions:
• Play aggressive. Deny them farm and force them out of lane.
• Use your matchup advantage to create a lead, then roam and spread it.
• In draft, Shouyue is a strong counter-pick if the enemy locks one of these early.

Meta Performance & Ranked Tips

Current Meta Position: A (Viable), 50.4% WR

Shouyue is a solid, consistent pick. Not the best in class, but mastery beats meta.

Climbing Advice:
• One-tricking Shouyue is better than constantly switching to "meta" picks you're less comfortable on.
• Be willing to flex off Shouyue if the enemy drafts hard counters.

Stats from Camp HOK international ranked (synced 2026-07-27), cross-checked against HoKStats.gg builds and counters. 国服 (王者荣耀) runs on a faster patch cycle with a larger hero pool and different ban culture — use CN guides for mechanics and combos, but draft off global win/pick/ban numbers on this site.
